Keep seeing all these Rsv's for sale and it's like being a fat kid in a sweet shop:confused

For the average blerk, is there really a lot of difference between the 00 and 02 models? I've read there were 200 odd modifications, better riding position, little bit more grunt from the motor and of course the restyling. Anyone ridden both and care to share your thoughts.

Cheers

Re shaped tank and fairing and a valve size update in the motor but essentially not anything radical. Think it may have had a closer ratio gearbox as well

Oh and they changed the clock lighting to orangey instead of green.

More colour choice in the R model post 2000 as you could get it in Yellow as well.

Get the cleanest one you can for your money rather than focus on a particular year. 03 is the trickest of the original shape as you get radial brakes and revised Ohlins.

Cheers spoonz

I'm siding more towards a 2000.5 - 2003 model myself ( if i've got that right ) - just prefer the little style tweaks and the paint jobs on them - some going for some good prices at the moment within my price range and unless somethings changed in the last 3-4 years then I'm thinking there will be a few more available as punters offload bikes as winter approaches. Certainly a buyers market at the moment that's for sure. Lovely jubberly.

Looney you need to be looking for 01-03 theres a difference between the 00 and the 01

If you get a 2002 model onwards you get the brembo monobloc calipers that were not on the earlier models.
