Last time i used the bike it was peeing down big time could tis have done something..

I think i'd first check the plug leads if it was mine, and then all the connector plugs for water ingress oli. Hurry up tho' coz there's more rain on it's way :biggrin

Have to agree mate, water sits in the plug wells and causes all kind of problems.

Don't suppose you've got any fault codes displayed?

Chances are it is water that's buggered up an electrical connection, not really built for the wet weather these Aprilias.

Guess who's just snapped a plug lead...:doug

Plugs look fine, checked the conectors to the coils..all ok

Pipe to the fuel reg ok

Could it be the power commader??

What other connectors s there to check??

And how much is a plug lead..lol

what throttle bods you runnin , i only ask cos took mine out other day for one of those superb rides that you think your gonna ave , fueled up got about ten mins down the road bloody fing starts popin and bangin
don`t idle like it was runnin on one cyl, not too bad on acceleration bit jerky crusin (mmmm could ave put that better) backfire on over run , nursed it home with alsorts of horros goin through me mind . lifts up the tank and oh damm and blast ...............one the plugs i`d used to blank of one of throttle body pipes had come off i run later 57`s put another blankin cap on and away we go air leak sorted .....................just a thought :dunno.

gona av o wait now til i can get a plug lead, nothing looks out of the place??..:dunno

Maybe the problem WAS the plug lead, did it break easily it might have been split already :dunno

RSVR.Net shop does an uprated set for around £50.

If you need it in a hurry pop down to Halfords and see if the guys can match one up for you?

was stuck solid to the plug cap, and me being a proper northern bloke just give it a good old tug..not in a rush, gona rain tomorrow then back at work mon, but i am blaming you for advising it in the first place so feel free to buy me them uprated ones if you will..:devious

May be worth emailing Mark at Time Machine bikes (Ebay) he had a set of coils with uprated leads for sale a while ago, seem to remember they were up for £50 mark!!

Although If I was in your position I would only fit new leads. (Just me being picky)

ebay bargain, 4 leads n 4 coils...£5,00 inc delivery...:thumbup

can now check it all without spending...and spares...

i had a similar problem, was drivin me nuts so went to see Griff and after a couple of hours pullin leads, changin chips etc we found it was the ECU!! changed that and no probs....:thumbup
