Hey guys,

Just been flickin through this seasons demon tweek mag and came across an after Market clutch slave cylinder.... £92.50

Says it smoothes out the clunky gear changes..!

Anyone know much about this and is it easy to fit???

I'm guessing its an Oberon or an MPL ?? Popular mod they are (and one I'm having done tomoz I hope !). They have a bigger piston in the cylinder so it reduces the effort at the lever thus a lighter clutch. I don't know if that also means more travel is needed at the lever to operate the clutch tho? Hopefuly I can let you know tomoz . . . .

Same lever travel, about 30% lighter lever pull.

You can get them a lot cheaper than £92 though. Rsvzone has a discount scheme with MPL which i think is still running.

Hey,
I would be interested in this mod too..I was having a few issues with gear changes and particular finding neutral..having checked the master cylinder I noticed the fluid totally gone..wtf I thought..I've blended the system and all ok for now however have noticed a small leak from the slave unit..fluid is coming in minute amounts from the side fairing post I'm assuming from behind the screw from the seal from the slave unit..are these mode easy to fit..is it a case of draining the system, fitting the new one another bleeding session then good to go?

Which clutch oil jet do you have fitted....later 06 on bikes have a jet that makes the clutch a bit lighter to start with.... i think it went from 0.4 - 0.6mm
