Decisions. Advice needed

Hi all

I have been a quiet follower on this site for quite sometime now.

I have had 2 Milles over the past few years, however after a recent engagement I have decided to sell my Mille/Tuono Rep. Still get to keep my track bike

Last year I decided to turn the Mille into a Tuono as my back cant handle long journeys any more. I just need the scoops and pods.

I am now at the stage of selling and not sure what to do with all the bits and would like some advice.

I want to get the best cash possible, however I would also like a simple life.

This is the bike as it stands

This is what it did look like

But after a small drop in the shed this has happened to the side of the front nose cone. Its cracked not snapped off. Bloody crap stand!!

I have all the standard kit to put back to original bubble wrapped in the loft.

What do you think it would be worth in standard trim?

And what would you think I would get for it in Tuono clothes? (with the standard kit included)

Its a 2000 model with 16k on the clock
Service history
It has KAIS front internals with brand new seals
Penske rear shock
K&N air filter
Aprilia Ti racing can with Chip
Datatool Veto
R&G's

Its a clean well looked after bike. Just wondering if I should put back to standard and flog the tuono bits off.

Its just a balls ache putting it all back together

Thanks

John

Yep would agree....2000's only go for £1500 odd these days :( .... lovely bike tho' ...mirror image of mine :) ...looks in good nick too

£1500 for the bike!! I would rather just keep it!

I was hoping for a bit more that that. You can only get a semi good 400 for that cash.

I'm going to strip it over the next few weeks and put back to standard and sell all the Tuono parts off on the bay or here.

I have seen other 2000's about asking for £2k+

oops meant to say £1500 - £2000...hope you didn't spray coffee all over keyboard!....just from the caht on here and the other Ape forums....no harm in trying more tho' :)

I think I would be happy with £2k if I sold all the other bits off too.

Do you think that would be a fair price with the cracked front fairing?

There was an 02 on ebay for £1400 and it didnt even get a bid, the price of RSV's at the moment is crap.

Hi John

I've just bought a 99 rsv last weekend with the intention of putting tuono bars on it. Would appreciate if you could tell me what changes you had to make to get the bars fitted. Did you fit risers to the standard yokes? Did you have to replace the throttle cable, clutch cable and front brake lines?

Might be interested in some bits if you do decide to turn the bike back to standard.

Any other advice for the conversion would be spot on

Thanks

Chris

Chris- your in luck, I have everything you need to complete your conversion. The only things I'm missing are the side pods and ducts. These are purely cosmetic.

Pm me you number and I can chat through the changes needed and the parts I will have for sale. Quite a bit needs changing, however it's only a few hours work. What colour Mille do you have?

Hey John

My number is 07917 675510, if i don't pick up at first its cos im driving or in a meeting so just leave a message and i'll call you right back.

My mille is black with silver lower fairings, but the tanks black and the seat unit will be getting replaced with a single seat conv. anyway.

I haven't had my mille side by side with a tuono yet but i guess there are lots of little bits, my main convern is getting the straight bars on!!

Cheers

Chris
