Decent aprilia mechanics in the northwest

Sounds like a good buy mate, sounds like it has been well looked after, don't think you will have anything to worry about. What did you have before the mille, is it your first twin?

Nice bikes, will be a different ride altogether that the jap bikes, may take you a few rides to get used to it, there is a lot more grunt from the off as opposed to reving the hell out of the motor, and there is alot more engine braking than the japs, which i like, i find it can make slow tight turns a bit awkward sometimes in traffic.

Mines on michellin pilot road 2,'s, they have been great, plenty of grip, and thet heat up really fast so decent on the road.

Has it got the standard exhausts fitted, or aftermarket, one thing about the mille is the sound, it's awsome, i had arrow exhausts on mine, the sound was fantastic, it was like thunder, much better than my old duc.

Thats a result, you'll be popular with the neighbours then, lol. Yeah, would recommend the pilot road 2's if the current ones are in need of changing anytime soon, you could always give it a thrash around oulton park on a track day, be a good place to get used to the bike, would ceratainly kill your tyres off, think it's about £125 for the day.

I've used PR tyres over in Liverpool before now they were pretty decent.

I've used wallasey aprilia on the wirral, for a couple of bits, they are nice fellas but I have been messed around with appointments a few times, having to come back the next day when i was already booked in, not much of an issue for me, but could be if you are coming from distance.

Yeah labour is pretty steep, its about £50 per hour, but reasonable for parts, i got rocker cover gaskets from them for £12, the cheapest on ebay i could find were £29. They are the only aprila place i know locally, think on the beginning of this thread a few guys have given some highly reccommended alternatives, i already had my bike sorted, but may be worth getting in touch with them if you need any work doing.

I was reccommended to contact Spooky or griff on here for any work, as i say mine got sorted so i didn't get to contact them in the end, but if you do need anything, may be worth contacting them.

alrightguys!!

i will travel to liverpool if theres enough work to do!!
