I'm living near liverpool at the moment, does anyone know of any decent places to take an aprilia for repairs in the area of liverpool and the wirral, as i'm needing the seals on my clutch slave sorting out, cheers.

Its an easy job to do but.....

I used to live in glazebury nr warrington an took my bike to Hammer and Tongs performance bikes (01925 444603) in warrington. They were pretty good and you could always get booked in for an mot that week, not needing to book weeks in advance.

For forks i went to kais perfomance in leigh, they were great - ohlins specialist. (01942 896366)

The seal change in slave cylinder is easy i got mine from apriliayorkshire.com. only a few quid i think the delivery was the most expensive thing.

Am changing my slave cylinder for a oberon one from tash hopefully this weekend.

I'm a bit of a biff with a spanner, i swapped my oil jet a while back and ended up stripping the thread from the crank case thanks to a broken torque wrench, not good, not sure i can be trusted anymore, lol. I 've heard the oberon slave's are the dog's dangly bits, i'm tempted to upgrade myself, you have to let me know what you think once it's fitted.

100% mike hose mate if youre from the wirral its only over the bridges into wallasey ,hes the local aprilia man and also races his mille in the tt and outher events .

Should try and contact SPOOKY on here he lives in liverpool and Griff uses his gaff when he does his aprilia performance days up here! he is a time served mechanic has worked for Griff the odd day when they were snowed under and short staff. plus he fitted my MPL clutch slave for me.

plus he's a top bloke to boot< would only let him or Griff work on my bike

Hi sniper I've just put deposit on Mille and live in connahs quay so really close to u

i have a Gen2, sorry not sure on what to look out for on a Gen1 somebody will be along on here soon and help ya buddy

Hi craig, congrat's on getting a mille mate, you won't be disappointed, i've got a gen 2 aswell, so not to sure what to look out for on a gen 1, my mate had one for for a few years and didn't have any issues at all, have you got the standard or the 'R' version.

As a general point i'd look for any signs of oil leaks from the cylinders etc, incase any gaskets need replacing, fork seals that sort of thing.

Geoff.
