Dealer messing me about

Right I got my factory on the 24th of sept and they were ment to have sent on the new mot cert, service history, owners manual, oh and new rear foot pegs as they sold/lost the old ones

they have told me today that they cant do any of his now, with an oh well **** happens attitude, now the bike had only done 1800 miles and to me the bike isnt worth what I paid for it(£6300) because I could not prove the very low mileage if/ when I sell the bike, I am thinking of returning the bike and getting my money back, told them this,
they were like well how many miles have you done told them it now on 2k miles
so I am going to give them till the end of the month (as we are in scotland seeing the inlaws) to sort it out
Or I think I will just return it as its getting right on my wick I have done all the calling to try and sort this and they just keep fobbing me off

so am I am in the right or am I out of order should I give them more time to sort it

Sorry to hear that Matt. If you get the opportunity, get in contact with Trading Standards and provide them with all of the details so far and see if they are in a position to support you. Are you keeping a record/log of all the calls/contact?

Is it a local dealer/shop?

All the calls have been to/from my mobile so will have all the dates and times

Its a big dealer in the centre of London
Its pissing me right off as I paid top money for it and to me it not worth it:angry
I could of had a black/gold bike with 7k miles on a 57 plate for the same money :rant

The sales bloke has said he will call in a day or 2 to tell me whats going on, we will see eh
he keeps telling me he is waiting for the old owner to drop the parts/paper work off.

so IF and it a big if they do call and they cant sort it I have said they can have the bike back:rant

Absolutely bollox service mate, call tomorrow and speak to the manager, tell him what you just told us the now and that he's got till the weekend to deliver or you bringing it back for ALL the cash you paid for it. Tell him you're currently speaking to that lawyer on MCN (you'll get his name in the "Legal" section bud) about the way you've been treated and that it will be in the MCN mag if he doesn't comply.............hopefully he'll **** himself and sort it all out...................f*ckers:thumbup

not this one mate but I wanted the bike would do any deal asked for an aprilia dust cover and the sales bloke said he would sort it then when we went a picked it up he said he couldnt do it:jack

well they are ment to be calling tomorrow to let me know whats going on

I am an MOT tester for my job, and the sales bloke told me I had to sort out a new mot as they cant get a duiplicate cert
so told him he was talking **** lol

Haha bet he felt a right w****r then! Everyone knows any vehicle doesnt need an MOT for the first 3 years. Cant believe he attempted to pull the wool over anyones eyes with that line, let alone an MOT tester such as yourself :)
 
i think i know which dealer you mean. I work in stockwell. Tbh not heard much about them, i'd definitely be drafting a letter to some bike mags though!

He was only telling me what his tester was saying but yeah he felt a right **** i'm sure

Well the missus has sent a very legal sounding letter to them today,
So with any luck the will get it sorted (by the 20th) or they will need to take the bike back,

Matt,,,, get in touch with MCN either Q&A section or the Legal advice section that they answer queries to & it will also give u a chance to name & shame them with thousands of readers
 
well they called just after 9 this morning and spoke tomy wife saying that i could come and get the parts/docs etc but she told them to put it in the post signed for next day. as its 2 hours each way with the traffic so he said he will do it and i should have them on monday, we will see eh, dont think i will hold my breath though
 
Well at last I have alomst all the parts still no cover or the owners book,
So more phone calls to be made but at least I have the history now
