Dead Indicators

Got the V twin bug of my old Suzuki TL1000R but blew the engine on that doin a track day last year. Of course the only option after that was to get me my first RSV. Its an 02 Mille, bit of a rough old dog but, as you all know goes like stink. It had no indicators fitted when i bought it so with an MOT looming i decided to fit some. Just aftermarket mini ones i had lying around on the back and a pair of wee Motrax ones on the front, no LED's. Switched the bike on to try them but nothing. No light from the indicators and no light on the dash. Been reading through the other threads and i'm gonna try to get a stronger flasher relay tomorrow but not sure if that will even help. Oh and the fuse is fine. Any other ideas?

Just got the same problem with my 2000 Mille. The standard bulbs are rated at 10x and the minis at 21w each. I am pretty sure that it is the relay that is not man enough to power the exstar wattage. I tested by removing one of the bulbs and the indicator flashed okay. I am thinking of moving away from minis as they are sooo expensive here in NZ.

Sorted. A new relay from a local parts shop. It's a 21w 4 way jobbie and it cost £4.99. All nice and blinkety now.
