Hi All,
After several months of having a great and reliable machine to ride in the pissing rain, my bike failed to start after work the other week.
I didnt have any jump leads etc so went home to fetch the car and when I got back to work the bugger started fine first time after not turning the motor over at all the first time.
Anyway, I took the battery out and charged it over night as I dont have electricity in the garage.
It fired up fine the next day and I have had about a weeks worth of great starting, including after a fill up at the petrol station on the way home last night.
Then this morning the thing just wouldnt start and the battery has no life in it again.
Considering the really crap weather we have had up here in Aberdeen for the past several months, I havent had it out for a long ride in a while and I only go the 3.5 miles each way to work and back and leave it over the weekend (mostly at the moment).
So could this latest problem simply be due to lack of use and would a regular overnight charge sort it out, or am I looking at a new battery or something even worse, bearing in mind that just a few months ago I had all the hassle in the world replacing the sprag clutch as well as doing the battery lead upgrade, replacing the solenoid and upgrading the wiring from the battery to the thingy whos name escapes me right now.
Cheers, George.
