Cuts out past 10k

Being the daring person I am (lol) I thought id raise the rev limiter from 10 to 12k, however, when i increased it, it misfires and wont run? :dunno The previous owner said that he had set it to 10k because he didnt want to flip it (wooooooosy lol).....

Could this be because i need a power commander or such like to map the akras?

Any advice appreciated...

the red line limiter is factory set at 10000rpm you only change the shift light the limiter can not be adjusted

Cheers - thatll be why then lol

Its fast enough as it is, had it up on the back wheel past my mate in first and second..... just thought its worth a look..

did the same on mine seems daft if it can be adjusted past 10 but heyho

Might still have to get the power commander tho....... see what can be done :0)

Any ideas what bhp they put out as std?

differs on what you read 120 -130 ish i think if its >03

lol mine goes to the limiter at 10k...... wanted to see if it could do more lol

Shift light on mine set at 10250, has a really nice power step about 9000 irate

But I believe for you rev heads out there Dr Rossi can sort out a chip with a slightly higher rev limit :devious

Depending on the strength of your engine internals, renegade chip puts in 1k more revs, I spoke to Gabro and he wanted to crack my engine to have a butchers before supplying me one. I reckon Little1`s bike (spanners ex) has this chip
