custom resto and race on tour!!

F

fusebox

sounds odd? well bear with me!

guys i had a little holiday this weekend away from it all, i went forra trip down to the south coast, i mean proper down south , lands end goes pretty far down dont it!! i didnt realise just how far it was!

still i ramble on!!!

I thought struck me when i was nosing around the southern towns that there just are no dealers any where near, so a thought struck me would it be a resonable propersition to build a trailier with a bike ramp in it and some tools and go on tour down south and service some bikes down there?? then the though struck me that why restrict this to down south why not some other areas of the country if the demand was there i could travel!

now i ve spoken to our friend spoonz about this and run the idea by him and he agreed that there could be some legs with this one, so i put it to you,

I propose to build a trailer with a bike ramp and bring CRR to the guys that are miles away from our base in tamworth, service books will be stamped, and the work will be carried out with the usual care and attention to detail! I will find an area to park up for a week or part of a week and sort the bikes! i will propbavly bring my own bike down in the van and go for a tear up in your area!

does this sound like a go-er??? let me know and if its sound like one then i'll book guys in for the new year and make the arrangements!

cheers

griff

p.s im sorry if this is bad form for this forum but this is genuinly trying to help everyone! If it is please let me know and i'll remove it!

HI....It sounds like a great idea to me Griff. :thumbup We met up at Ace cafe a while back and i spoke @ servicing & suspension set up and dyno runs etc etc after thinking @ adding a PC III USB. Dont trust myself to do it on my own, also reluctant to take it anywhere that doesn't know them inside and out.
I would deffinately be in for a date next year for a SOUTH EAST workshop.:devious
:doug:doug:doug :thumbup Thumbs up from me anyway.:pirate

I think thats a fantastic idea :thumbup

What are you like with slipping clutches :devious and how much would that cost, and do West Yorkshire first :biggrin

sounds a top idea. we have lots of people around here that can service but I don't trust any of them lol. found out my dealer for service was the place I brought my first bike from and had nothing but hassle for 2 years with them.
If you had parked up within 30 miles of me and the price was right I would use you :) a mobile dyno would be a top addition too :) you can train me up on it and will take care of that ;)

Griff, when you are heading south, down the M5, get off at J11 and pop in for a cupper and we can talk bikes!! I'm only 5 min drive from there, Cheers, Rob.

We could do with this in the Essex area for sure, we are very very poorly supported.
Come on down Griff.........me 1st :)

Brilliant idea Griff mate....:thumbup........is a Scottish trip planned?? I'd Even travel to the North East if Scotland's not on.....:thumbup

I think you may be on to a winner here Griff!!

You may find that you'll have more work than you can shake a stick at. LOL

You'll have to recruit some helpers on your travels.

Agreed with Kiwi RSVR, Essex doesn't have much in the way of bike support.

You got me, BarryRS and Looneytunes all within about 5 miles of each other in Somerset and just a stones throw from the M5. I know I would definately use the service.

The Somerset, dorset, Devon, Cornwall sessions i can be Griff's Monkey wrench passer on if needed. (work permitting)

i can break out my gas analyser as well for double the output for those just wanting a tweak.

Can I hold his curling tongues?:pirate:doug

Come to York and you have work my Friend.

A full service including valve check and suspension set up is what I need.

Ohhhh and I need my new set of Showa forks fitting too!!

So Griff, this looks like a load of potential work. What's the likeihood of this happening and when are you thinking of doing it?
