If your sprocket nuts are tight Sprocker, :D then i'd say the bushed cush rubbers are worn ol mate..wack in some newbies and all should be fine. Grease up the pin surfaces a little when re-assembling the sprocket carrier into the new bushes..

Will check that tomorrow Aus cheers...i'm a bit too pissed to do it now :biggrin

Aye, alcohol and bikes don't mix, even when they are standing still in the shed..a wise decision ol mate.

Remove the back wheel, the sprocket carrier will slide out of the bushes..check the pins for wear and roundness..chances are its the metal bushes in the rubber that have elongated somewhat. Too tighted the sprocket nuts, you must have the carrier out of the hub as there is a hex on the back where you use a spanner to hold while tensioning the sprocket/pin nuts.

check thet are tight and have a look mate, i dont know another way to tell , best wait for someone to point us in the right direction :biggrin

The movement must be coming from thrm IMO :eatcorn

Use a full ring spanner on them as they have a narrow shoulder width and could be rounded off easily if using an open ended spanner.

Update

Took the wheel off this afternoon and checked the rubbers and they're ok, the cause was that the 5 socket screws securing the sprocket carrier to the wheel were loose. Two of them were virtually out, the rest were barely finger tight

All sorted now and back together, cheers guys :thumbup
