R&G are by far the most popular for a reason, that reason is they are the best:thumbup

Puig crash protectors(M&P,£40).Both wheel bobbins(Ebay,£15)Stick on reflector, saves lower fairing).Tested last month.

Better than nowt and they cost £30 inc p&p fleabay .

RSVsteve,

Did the crash bungs fit ok?

i plan to get some, but dont want to cut hole in fairing, so if these ones go behind the fairing (towards back of bike i mean) i prob get some. seem good price.

M

PS, think i bought ur steering damper, it fitted on a treat :) cheers.

My Bike came with the full set of R&G. Front Forks, Handle Bars & Engine front and rear. Only thing I can think of is that the ones on the frame rear of the engine sometimes touch your shins. Doesn't bother me when riding but may break your legs in a T bone crash!

I've got R&G on the fork bottoms off ebay, keep looking for some more but people pay silly money for them and I'm a tight (Yorkshire man) asse..

Seen some different ones in a bike mag recently that are cushioned to take some of the shock away from the frame etc, they look good but can't remember name or price..

Set of these were on my bike when i got it, will be doing the full R&G soon.
I heard that the bolts are special in the way they give a little on impact and the crash bung is meant to ware rather than dig in :dunno

its always usualy the first thing i buy for a new bike,
always had r&g,but am unsure as to the mille,do you deffo have to cut through the fairing to fit them,i aint doin that.
seems a bit daft to have to cut through your fairing in order to fit them.
is this just the case with some makes as said above?
and is it just on the older bike?

Hi Big un
had to do the same on my 600 gixer but only 1 side and it had to be the same size as the bung !!!! bloody massive hole . Got the frame ones on my 03milie now and will get the front ones as well , think its only a 25mm hole so its hidden once bungs are on .

Rawly

cheers matey, just no way im risking bodging/fukin up my fairing dude.
ah well,*** it.
had a full set on the 2002 r1,just bolted straight on.

on the newer shape you still need to cut a circular hole through the fairing fillers. At least mine aren't the Carbon ones! I must admit it is one reason I haven't upgraded mine to carbon yet. Oh and the price of Carbon bits puts me off a little too!
