I have been in touch with a very nice chap that does bungs and is interested in making the spindle bobbins (front and rear I guess). If someone wants the first free set and lives near Dereham, Norfolk then get in touch with me and we'll arrange for you to go round there and get measured up..........

Alternatively if anyone has some measurements off other brands then stick them up.

Click here for the thread on it If you tell him you're from RSVZone he's said he'll offer a discount too.

I should get me a full set of these :) are they year specific cos mine's a 2003 (Last of the Great ones :LD)

Hi,
I'm about 30 mins down the road from Dereham and have a 2000 mille. I'm looking to get some bungs sorted after my RH race school this week :)
I don't mind heading over there, give me a PM/reply.
Is there a need for rear spindle bobbins, surely stand bobbins would be better?

yep you're right. Forgot about that. My last bike didn't have anywhere to put stand bobbins- they went through the rear spindle.

PM sent. Anyone know if the 00 and 01-03 models have the same front axle measurement? I'm guessing the thread for the rear bobbins will be the same on both models.

Bloody hell rs3 Mille, why didn't you tell me that a few weeks ago, before I crashed? It's top tips like this that I visit this forum for (that and to ogle Boylers carbon).

As it goes, I need some new crash bobbins....

:lol:lol mate at your service anytime for tips

Getting there

I'm hopefully going for a measure up sometime this week. :biggrin
I'll post the pics when they are done, but I'll leave the crash testing to you lot.

How did you get on with the bungs fitting? I've got a 52 plate and after a full set:thumbup

Click Here for his details and email him for a quote on the full set. Make sure you tell him you are from this site and he should sort you a good price.

So is no one doing a group purchase from this guy then?

Surely if we all get together we can muster up an order of 10 sets and negotiate some kind of discount?

Who is bored and has great negotiating skills?

i don't even know if anybody that said they would go see him has actually been for a measure up. It seems pointless sorting this unless we know he has all the different models. I'll give him a call and put up a list. His website is still 'a work in progress'.

After reading the other threads about this guys products it's sounding like he is just trying to make a decent product as a very reasonable price. (Unlike the R & G rip off)

If I lived closer I would pop up and get measured up. :roll

I assumed that as you and a few others have a set fitted that someone had been measured up!

no as far as i can gather he's been doing this for years and years and the patterns he has gathered have been from random people over the years. He has the lower bungs from 01 to 03 the rest you would have to look at his ebay page. Have asked him to send a list and i'll post it

i've spoken to him, nice bloke, he said he's waiting for some guys to pop around to measure up but so far no one has gone.
It's a bit of a trek for me but I might pop over for the day in a couple of weeks time if no one has gone.

He's flat out at the moment!

I contacted for a full set and he said he only does the bottom set and they would be £30. I'm after a full set but unfortunately Dereham is too far for me to go just for a measure up.
If any one close does manage to go for a measure up then I'll put my name down for a full set:thumbup

Can we not just arrange a group buy on the lower bungs then?

Or do you think that given he's such a small set up with profit margins minimal that to negotiate a discount could be offensive to him?
