I've been toying with the idea of getting some crash bungs for the T (had them on previous bikes) but after reading this I won't bother - cheers for the heads-up SSDJ.
Insurance - just renewed at £230 & £30 legal protection. 10yrs+ ncd, Pillion cover, garaged, 5k miles a year. Cheapest I could get but my postcode (central Brizzle) jacks the premiun up.
When you arranging another ride out shotgun.
Thats because Bristol is full dodgy gits , its all drug dealers n pimps , your not a pimp are you Gilo cause i dont want to offend you :lol
Not sure mate , will sort out a route and see whos up for it , pissed off i missed your Wales run last weekend !
Reckon we should do another Exmoor run before the Summer's out.
Sean - are you going on the Wales weekend 20/21 Aug??
No shotgun its all relative cos someone might have been thinking of fitting bungs before the run out
Bay they are standard on all Gen 1s. Don't look up to much tho & they are a ****** off white colour.
Oh and I missed the last foreign ride so I'd be interested. Quite into staying overnight type thing at mo so can we consider that for me and peeps from further away?
Looks like I'm doing that on next welsh ride on July 30th in trickys pub.
Yes mine are white as well but it's not a bright white hence the off white comment?
Ta Shotgun but no tent mate! P'haps a local pub/b&b with a nice out of sight car park? Long ride down, long ride around good roads & then loads of beers with smelly breakfast and leisurely long ride home next day sounds great to me. That's what I'm doing for next welsh ride as it's north Wales and I'm south.
Chaps, honestly, cracked frames caused by crash bungs are pretty rare and damned bad look, especially in Supers case. You need sliders imho. Even if you just drop the bugger on the path it could be expensive if you've not got em. You'll hurt the rads, levers and cans at least. I've slid on mine twice, once at speed and once slowly, oh yeah and a 1mph pathetic drop on gravel on me path and the R&G's have saved the bike and enabled me to ride home every time. I'm **** aren't I.
They usually damage frames if they hit something like a curb, but if you hit a curb the bike usually ends up wrecked anyway. I've put them on every bike meself.
