Crash bung kit good quality good value????

Bit the bullet and bought a crash bung set that lone ranger suggested as couldn't find any descent 2nd hand sets around.............I'm quite impressed with the quality nice thick ally axle bars all nicely precision machined and for £65 no one seems to come close on price!!:thumbup only gripe is the boring black bungs .............I would like some funky colours so may try and fit some over large sk8 wheels on the axle bobins.........


Anyone got any tips for installing the rear engine mount bungs ie. anything to take off?? as I havn't been out to look yet.......

2stroke, it's easy to take the engine bolts out, but i beleive there are spacers behind the frame, so when you pull the bolts out just remember to put spacers back..

Thought it was too good to be true tried to fit the engine bungs tonight to my 2001 mille and nearside does not fita looked at both shims and they are the same size whearas my frame is not.... notice in the top photo the 2 shims are the same size well my nearside frame recess is too small to receive that ..............not happy heres a pic


Have pm'd the seller to see what is up with the bungs shall report back whether they sort it out.............

2stroke, they do fit...both sides are different opening sizes bud..try the other one..

i appologise..just read there both same size...twats...have you a mate who's an engineer..maybe turn them down..

Sorry to see youre having a bit trouble, Im pretty sure he will do his best to sort it out.

I have the same lower engine crash bungs fitted and R&G top ones for full protection, I fu#ing need it, lol.
Like ive said R&G are the best for the top engine mounts, well worth fitting aswell.

Lone ranger have messaged the seller I'm sure they've sent me 2 of the same side shims so hopefully will sort it asap otherwise Iv will have to to turn it down as jester68 said........will not be too happy if that is the case though...........cheers for ur opinions though:thumbup

Just had reply from seller and said its his mistake sent me 2 right hand spacers will send a replacement straighaway.......so cool with that........have asked if will make some top /forward engine mounts bungs also............

Hi Lone yes correct shim was posted and arrived next day very friendly helpful chap and the kit is awsome for the price real good quality although he would not make the forward bugs as had tried in the past but was not happy the mounts were strong enough to take an impact.......
