Crash Bobbin's. Are they worth the money?

Definately worth the money, i dropped my RSVR when testing the bike unfaired on the floor when i lost my balance. Only very gently but if i didn't have the R and g's on i would of lost the radiator for sure!

I only have the lower bungs on at the moment (Hopefully Farter Xmas will read this and a top set will apear on the 25th :devious)

My problem is that the lowers are DHM and I want matching sets but DHM dont seem to make them :dowhat, anybody know any differant ?

check out this pic of mine, all the bobbin saved me a fortune on things like engine casing, fork leg lowers, radiators as a minimum.

Well worth investing in a full set for frame and wheel spindles

I highsided my mille at Cartagena last week, I had rear engine bungs fitted and at the last minute picked up some front engine mount and front axle bungs from R&G, damage was limited to a broken clip on / clutch lever and scratched plastics (which was better than me, I don't recommend Spanish hospital food!).
The front axle bungs were untouched, the front engine mount R&G stud snapped and the rear engine mount stud bent, all in I was very happy, but if I hadn't fitted the front engine mount bungs the radiator/engine casings would def have been damaged/written off.
The moral of this story is if you are going to fit bungs fit both front and rear.

Fcukin good job you had the bobbins on Badger, they saved ya bike getting wrecked, was the small scratch on the tank there before the crash :dowhat

Deffo worth the money, and despite what everyone says about R & G just being a rip off as they are more expensive than the others R & G are the best.
Loads of racers use R & G (sponsored or not) because they are the ones that put in all the time and money researching to make sure they do there job with minimal damage to the bike, others just come along and make cheap copies which aint as good.
Even at £85 a set for uppers it is still better than claiming on your insurance.

Aye mate saved a lot of money and hassle, and R&G are the ones to use without a doubt, the tank damage was done in that off, mind you it was a 110+ get off:eatcorn

I remember the original thread, me thinks you were a lucky boy that day :thumbup

me = lucky *******
I was riding in hail with no brake and a new front tire/compound I was going like 30mph on the road. my hands were freezing and dropped my mille the first time after all the ******* around with this bike i cannot blame her but myself. i dropped it while going straight on the road after an instant skid on the front wheel due to the narly oily ***** rainy and icy road! lol it feel on it's right side very smooth. it has only a tiny scratch on the big exhaust where it is welded and little scratches on the right side and my throttle is a little stuck but still operatable. Any my new titanium jacket /and plates are just fine after all the rolling and skidding. lol
if your bike goes down in rain(especially the first and the worst rain of the reason) you won't get much road rash because the roads are lubricated mate! lol however after I paint my side panels i will definately make me some crash bars on the side for sure. The reason why the bike gets so much damaged is i think it's the way the handle bars wobble to much and make the bike hit the road constantly. If you can use long bars in the mid section and use extra slippery handle bars ends that will help a lot. I have literally seen my bike eat some **** frame by frame. Oh my gosh and I should have put that damn rear brake on instead of chasing ***** yesterday my hip hurts now. ouch. lol
