what the flip is a corbin seat I know what the 01 mille is,got one of those

Hi Guys, anyone swopped the Corbin base for an Aprilia Mille.Tried a mate's Fblade corbin yday.Looks possible to adapt.Any experience out there.Corbin much better support and looses quite a bit of seat height over squidgy original.

mine is a Sargent cycle seat, v comfortable, grippy and dished at the back. I did retro fit an earlier Corbin seat from a 2000 model, but its a bit short for the 02 model, it was very firm and made from leather(the corbin), so would need treating if it gets wet, and it was really heavy. The sargent seat is very light...but I returned the first one cos it developed creases, the one I have has creased a bit too but it should settle down. Both types are very well made(tho the sargent is better finished)
.I would go with sargent(but if it creases send it straight back).
They also come in 3 diff types of material (synthetics) or punched leather(really trick-) PS-they are not exactly cheap, but the corbin are pricey too.

Personally I think they look a bit 'cruiser' for the RSV? No offence to anyone that has one, just my opinion. I like the race pad that comes as standard.

The really strange thing is I really used to suffer with numb bum syndrome. When I bought the Ducati, which has a similar thickness seat to the RSV, I thought that I was really going to be for it in the backside. I've found though that I never get it with the race pads? The only thing I can think is that I move around more on the pads that I used to on plush seats? :dunno
