Anyone else have trouble viewing the coolent level? My dealer says its fine and that the coolent recovery tank viewing port is really not transparent;and you mudt pull off the cover to see the entire tank.Bike runs well and cool;but I don't think I should need tools to check things.BTW it's a 2010 Tuono 1000r Factory

Stick some dye in it mucker, food colouring or the like.
 
The coolant is rubbish to check, and the dealer is probably right about taking the cover off.
Canny tip Aldo, I've got some hair dye lurking, think that'll do?
 
I dont bother trying to check the level through the window in the side.

I always look from the front & give the bike a little nudge.

Its then quite easy to check the level through the white plastic when you can see the surface "sloshing about".

My coolant is blue, maybe its the different colours or concentartion thats causing the problem.
 
With the bike on a track stand, shine a torch behind the coolant cover.
The coolant is usually pink in colour and the level is easily seen through sight window.
 
Virgins Piss must contain really good anti-freeze, based on some of the frosty / frigid ******* that carry it round.
