Found it! YAY... changed my indicator switchgear !! for any who wants to do the same. Replacement part is ~£35-30.

So it arrived, painted the indicator switch knob black, replacent operation couldn't have been simpler. Went for a ride, and difference is chalk and cheese. I can reach fairly easily now. Highly recommended. And as a bonus it has a switch for the lights too. (No notable difference in startup lights on v lights off though, jus sayin).
