Collection in honour of Eric aka 'Dynamo'

I did something similar for rsv-ace’s family when he sadly passed away last year. Raised a decent amount of money for his wife & kids to use in whatever way they saw fit at a very tough time.

I only met Eric the once but he was a top guy, with a great personality & like all of us had a passion for riding motorcycles. Thought it would be a nice gesture to have a collection in his honour. All proceeds will be passed on to his wife Linsey to use as she sees fit, whether for the Depression Alliance Scotland or to spoil herself at this tough time?

If you would like to add to the collection please send your donation as a gift via PayPal using [email protected]

Can you please include you forum name in the notes section of PayPal. I will not promote who has given what & when but I will keep a list of all forum donators & will publish a list of names on this thread at the end of the collection. Cut of point of the collection will be Sunday 17th April as I will pass funds over to Linsey on Monday 18th April.

Cheers, Robbo

NB. I am not connected in any way to the family, I’d just like to think that within this great fraternity we have, if something like this happened to me or others someone may just want to do the same for us?

Cheers guys (you know who you are), much appriciated. Keep them coming if you can :thumbup

tr, maybe it's an english thing, I'm not sure but up here you pay your respects in person and if you can't you give what you can as instructed.

What I'm trying to say is jist send yer stuff to the said org if yer can't be there.

No need t blow ******* trumpets.

Jist my opinion mucker.

Morning Aldo,

Cheers for your input. Although I find most of your posts humorous & some even helpful, let’s just say for various reasons I beg to differ on some of the statements you’ve made this time.

This thread is neither the time or place to go in to detail but thanks again mate :thumbup

Its a bit of a contentious issue really with everyone having their own opinions although I do respect you Rob for trying to help in times like this.

Couldn't agree more bay, everyone has their own views / opinions & is entitled to say their thoughts on an open forum :thumbup

No need to show me respect, just hate seeing a fallen fellow rider. Like many no doubt, I can't be their in person to show my respect so this is a way of showing we as a close knit community care. Sometimes it's better to say or do something than nothing at all. If it was on the other foot I'm sure the people close to me would like to possibly know that those on here, some who I've met several times & class as friends, cared or would at least have the balls to say we did care but don't want to to blow ******* trumpets about it.

When we held my mums funeral in December, we wanted to try & get people to celebrate her life & remember the good times rather than the bad. Over 200 people, young & old, wore something with colour (tie, socks, hat etc...) & a daffodil which would have made her smile I'm sure. No organ player, just music she loved. Point of telling you that, everyone deals with things like this differently & this is just my way!

im with you on this one robbo, it,s simple really and people shouldn't try and read too much into it. Either pay summit or don't, its as simple as that !!

I'd forgotton about these...

Hi Guys, Robbo has done sterling work on behalf of Eric and hats of to him. I have known Eric for quite some time and attended his funeral with approx. 200 others. Our club escorted the hearse to the ceremony. The service was conducted by the Humanist Society, and donations was requested to help Depression Alliance Scotland. If anyone had met Eric I am positive you could not help but be impressed by his enthusiasm of bikes. Words cannot describe Linsay and his daughters loss. Thanks to everyone for their comments.

It has been suggested that I pass the collection over to the Depression Alliance Scotland on Eric's behalf, which I shall do in due course. Thanks again, Robbo.
