Hi all just got my 2001 Mille with 10000 miles on the clock took her out today and noticed the clutch was slipping when accelerating hard even at 145 in sixth gear do I need to change the clutch or is there something I can do to solve the problem

Must admit mine always slip after an oil change ...3th time out yesterday since and thrahed it no slip so its cleared as it normally does

Hi Redrat, is that normal, i have just had mine serviced plus a chip fitted by Griff been out two or three times since service and i have same issue as Mitch, i thought it might be the chip as the bike now goes mental from 8k up to redline, no slip except when nailed and hitting 9-10k in 5th and 6th

It's slipped after the last 3 oil changes just think its a common thing......may invest in the Barnett clutch springs just to be sure and yes it's always at very high revs
