Hi guys, after a bit of advice and info...clutch slave is goosed on my T and was looking at replacing with an oberon model for circa £90. There are probably a few of you guys that have already done this mod and was just wondering how good they are really...any views much appreciated :thumbup cheers

well worth doing as it lightens the clutch action due to bigger piston area , and theyre rebuildable

Hi, thanks for reply have just ordered one up so hopefully should get sorted soon....cheers

I have one and to be honest didn't notice an easier lever action.

I was told by an Aprilia mechanic who'd services many Gen1's & 2's that standard clutch lever action varied considerably between bikes. Not sure why that would be! But my standard Gen1 clutch lever action has always been fairly light/easy. But where it's stiffer, an Oberon should help, and give a noticeable improvement, due to larger piston.

I fitted my clutch slave at the same time as changing the levers to asv,s , with 100 clicks of adjustment its now perfect for my digits and that made loads of difference to the clutch action and feel .
my clutch was never stiff to start with , but the mods made the bike much much nicer to ride .far easier to feather the clutch round town and to dip the cluch when piling on the coal for lightning quick overtakes :yes

Yikes! Sounds interesting! For 'lightning quick overtakes' do you pull the clutch lever, open throttle (by how much?) then let clutch out (fast or slow?).

I have visions of you doing a mighty wheelie as you rocket post some stunned motorist on your thunder machine!
