Heres my problem: I pull in the clutch lever, put it in 1st, and with the clutch pulled in all the way...the bike still moves forward. This makes my bike unridable. I don't know that much about hydraulic clutches. Do I just need to bleed it and add more fluid, or is this a bigger problem? I know it will become a bigger problem if I don't fix this. Is there a web site that can show me step by step how to do this. I really have no clue and I really want to get back on my bike with summer coming. No dealers in my area will touch an Aprilia. Any bit of help is welcome..thank you

Sounds like it needs a good bleed and an adjustment m8 it is a dodle m8 first get one of the spanners from the tool kit and a cloth then unscrew the resevoir cover pulling out the little plastic washer thing then the big rubber doo daa (technical term) check you have enough fluid in the thing then wrap the cloth round about the master cylinder leaving the bleed nipple at the top exposed(you dont want to get clutch fluid on the paintwork bad news) using the right spanner slowly crack open the bleed nipple whilst with your other hand pulling slowly on the clutch lever as you are doing this you should start to see fluid and hopefully bubbles coming out of the nipple just before you pull the clutch lever to the bar close the bleed nipple with the spanner then let go of the lever and repeat this action until there are no more bubbles, make sure you always have fluid in the resevoir . as for the adjustment see if this does the job m8 if you have any probs gi me a shout and i'll try and explain it a bit better.....

Hey it worked for you in the end lol i did take a while tho ,hows it going any hoo buddy

Thanks a lot man!! Just finished and it feels like a new bike! It was a total pain in the *** to figure out, but I got the job done with some help. I can finally ride again! I couldn't wipe the smile from my face after I got done riding it..oh, by the way...I can easily put it in neutral now. I had the hardest time getting it in neutral before, I would have to go to 2nd and then down. Now I just tap the lever and it practically falls into neutral!
Thanks a lot brother

You must be one of the lucky ones m8 i bleed mine and still have to go to second then into neutral, but heh life would be boring without having to tinker with them, enjoy,,,,

hi bud great to see your on the road again ,you might find it will go back the same way in a wee while mate if it does it could be your clutch slave
