Right I've worked out that my clutch issues are somehow related to the vaccum slipper. When it's on full chat the lever goes limp till about half way in as though something else is actuating the clutch. This is the only time I experience clutch slip any other time the clutch will bite hard and it'll drag it's self along!

My question is, what parts are related to the vaccum slipper and could be causing my issues?

Thanks in advance, Andy

Try just whipping off the hose that comes from the throttle bodies to the clutch housing, and blank off the pipe, not the clutch housing hole... Worked for me, you should be able to tell if it's the one way valve at fault If clutch feel is ok and doesnt slip

Could be but not sure it's the valve. The diaphram is vacuum operated and vac is at it's highest on a closed throttle so if anything it should slip more decelerarating not WOT which has almost no vac.

Not got an evo clutch slave fitted have you ?

I don't think I've ever seen one so I'm not sure, if you can give me details of what I'm looking for and where I'll check :)

It's on the left side just next to the front sprocket. If it's an evo it will look something like this but maybe not the same colour.

No definately not got one of them bolted to it. What advantage to they offer?

They give a lighter clutch pull but the Evo version had an issue with clutch pushrod chatter pushing the piston back at high revs. That gave a limp lever hence why i thought you might have had one.

The pull on the Evo slave is about 30% lighter than oem. I would buy MPL or Oberon versions though as they are more widely available and you wil get new seals etc easier as they are both euro made.

Not aware of the chatter issue causing problems with other slaves but anything is possible. On the Evo it only generally happened on higher mileage bikes that had a bit of clutch wear. That made the pushrod chatter more than a low mileage bike and the Evo slave was much less tolerant of this than the other makes.

What was the fix for em? Just wondering what I check on. :thumbup

The fix was to either not use an evo slave or reduce the worn parts causing the excess chatter on the pushrod.

I would exhaust every other avenue before going down that route though.

Bloody hell! MPL is 149 euros!!! Oberon one is £90.

My new one may have to wait until the end of the month.... :s
