the 'D' button doesn't work on my 2003 rsv clocks although you can feel it pushing the button underneath the rubber nothing happens. Has anyone had these apart and is there a likely solution to this problem, I never have a clue what the time is!!!:confused

Andy, I had similar issues as you, not one button but all of them! I was told it could be the solder behind the button as it gets old and not up for the job. The advice i was give was to beef up the solder on there. I took the clocks apart to have a look, i could see where i needed to sort it, but everything started working again so didn't need to. (mmm maybe not the solder then), its been ok ever since. The only problem i have is when taking the clock off or on, i cant remember, I snapped one of the fixing post on the back of the clocks!!! do'h.

Hang on I remember what i did. I shorted out the button (solder to solder) when it was apart with a screwdriver and it started working! Italian electric's are a joy! ;)

Need a hand Andy, Ive taken it all apart before? :)

Nice one Daz. Everything you said is kinda what I thought, I guess I was hoping someone would say something like "yea common problem, just give it a sharp tap on the right"!! but no such luck.
How ya doing anyway, I managed about 600mls on the wkend around wales and Devon, some awesome and empty roads still around and all jolly good fun ol boy

Im good m8, still not got the old **** back on the road, but i do have the parts now. Hoping to get it sorted tonight or on my day off tomorrow, then if all is cool and the weathers nice Im off to Cornwall for the weekend then up to BSB at Thruxton. The South West riders in Cornwall are doing a tribute run to Thruxton in honour of my brother who died in March of cancer. SO i dont want to miss it. Might be an emotional one.

Dude, next time you take a trip to wales, let me know. Not done wales before. ;)
