Alright guys,

I've picked up a mint Yamaha FZR 1000 R EXUP for commuting, tracks etc....and am wondering whether i can insure it as a classic(1989)???? Annoyingly my insurance company wont add it to my Mille policy (which is weird cause they did with the Speed Triple and only charged an extra £30!!.....i'll be calling them for an explanation tomorrow:rant) so wondered if you guys have any suggestions as to companies to try????

Tried confused etc.. to get a rough idea and they want the same as the Mille:eek:.............bollox to that!!!

Any help appreciated.................:thumbup:thumbup

Im sure ebike insurance allows you to add a classic bike to your policy for free. Will check the bumff i got with my policy...

i use CIA for my 85 750 Slabby... still cheap even though its heavily modded... ie B12 tuned engine !! :thumbup

Andi

i have just renewed my insurance .got my rsv insurance via go compare for £107.00 with £150 excess and protected no claims fully comp i was happy with that ;-)

Andi mate, i think a vehicle has to be 25 years old or older to be classed as a classic.

Try the bikeinsurer website, very good insurance deals (like gocompare but for bikes only)
