Haven't had any problems so far, other than the rear brake issue. Bleeding it and adjusting according to the Aprilia bulletin fixed that right up. I have 3 bikes, so the Tuono only get's ridden every other weekend. I do occasionaly put it on a battery tender, but only every month or so overnight. My Tuono is also under warranty so I hesitate to do this mod and possibly void the warranty. I'll wait until I have the issue and keep my fingers crossed.

If that's the "brown connector" post, Tuono's are susceptable.

It doesn't affect many - keep an eye on it.

Regards optimate type chargers I would strongly recommend keeping your bike hooked up whenever it's in the garage. the V60 is a big lump for the starter and can drain even a healthy battery very quickly if you have to keep trying.

It also helps keep dash resets at bay etc.

I cannot see how using a battery charger would have any affect on your warranty

Can't use an Optimate as no power in the garage i'm afraid. Will keep an eye on things.

Might be worth tapping up any sparkies you know to sort that, it really is worthwhile.

One other tip - don't "tickle" the starter button like you can with a Jap bike, push it hard in and hold it until it fires. If you don't the starter can bounce in and out and you eventually bollox the sprag clutch, which is one of the Rotax mill's few weak spots.

The garage is in an office mate. I can't throw a power line and use works electricity LOL.

I don't ride in winter though :)

I can get one of the lads to sort the wiring out though who knows his onions electrically.
