Bloody hell, I have been missing a right trick. I did not know you could go up the box without the clutch. What a *** I am. Its so much better and quicker...Derr, I must be fookin loosing it..41 ya know..fD

Be careful 1st to 2nd as it can bog on a clutch-less change, and only up the box never down,

So what we covering next ? counter steering, progressive braking, body position,,,

Cheeky *******s, yep I should have known...Being a racing ace...lol..

I have never raced bikes, always been 4 wheels. By the time the road bike bug got me I was to old, sadly. Would it bog down 1st - 2nd due to short shifting, because 1st is so harsh?

I always use the clutch changing up 1st to 2nd and in town.It make the changes smoother at the lower speeds.

well that’s the best way .
Only really makes sense doing it to accelerate hard ,or to be smooth when you have a pillion and I supose it saves wearing your clutch out too
I clutch less change all the time unless at slow speed or 1 to 2nd.

I blip on down changes but will have to stop doing that on this bike as the slipper function wont kick in

I know it can be done but won't it ruin your gearbox. I always use my clutch to change whether going up or down the box

Yeah, clutch used for 1st to 2nd, downshifts and when pottering round town. The rest of the time it's redundant.

He's right, its not a 'proper' slipper clutch. The racing type clutches have a ball and ramp system that slips on fast downward changes to avoid the rear wheel locking up.The 'Prilla APC clutch is a pneumatic device that gently lifts the clutch plates. Its pretty crappy tbh,and only works if you make a complete balls up changing down.Oh yeah,it does'nt work at all if you blip the throttle as you change down.

A'm never in that much of a hurry on the road.

And watch them hi rev down shift's, it can do nasty things tae yer engine.
