Been thinking about this for a while, but cannot make my mind up. For some reason, Aprilia saw fit to fit Blue wheels to my bike, when nothing else is blue. I had the idea to have the wheels coated White over the winter but wasn't too sure how it would look, then I found this on Ebay

Tuono Daytona

Has the white wheels I was thinking of.

What do you chaps reckon ?

white wheels look great if there spotless, but soon look dirty.

was thinking of a complete color change for mine over winter, not sure what yet.

but wont be white soz

I probably wouldn't go with white either. the do look great right after washing but, really show the dirt, chain lube, asphalt, etc. you could go with red and make it look like a Nera......

I had the same idea when I had the Rsvr. Someone said this and I never bothered-- 1 minutes ride = 1 hour cleaning.

Gotta be black mate :yes maybe with a coloured tape round em.

Blue... effing Marchesini blue dammit. And tape is ghey. One of the trademarks of the Tuono is the blue wheels. If you want to make it look like a UJM, go right ahead...

just my 2 cents.

Sorry big boy, I do actually like the blue wheels. Look good with blue handle bars and black levers :-]

Personally speaking, white wouldn't be my choice. Although beauty is in the eye of the beholder, IMO white looks too much like a late 80's / early 90's Jap sports bike.
Sorry - just my opinion!

ah'd gan fir neon pink, but it disnae metter whit a say cause nae hoor seems tae ken whit the **** ahm bletherin aboot,,,,

I ken ya feckin' flamer... pink??!... now I have to come over and ***** slap you for leaving an opening for those pommie *******s to make fun of us...

:thumbup
I understand you and agree PINK now THAT WOULD be different :lol:lol but stick to the blue in the meantime.

Here's a cough. Many yrs ago I bought a YPVS350 which had pink wheels. The bike was blue & white, so it did look a bit gay, but I didn't give a **** when I pissed everyone off in the bends. I took a lot of stick from some lads, but sometimes its nice to be in touch with ones feminine side.
Getting back to the point of this thread, while you are all wondering what sort of ponce I am, my T has powder coated gold wheels and it look lush.

Do you mean OZ blue by any chance Shove old bean? :rolleyes

Here is a shot of my wife Liz's bike, about to be stripped to get painted - hence it's sat on the lift.

Wheels powder coated black by Triple S in Bingley.

I replaced the stock silver coloured cans on her bike with these from an RSVR factory (same type as nobi has just got) last year - the colour is much better on the black bikes. They aren't cored Liz would kill me if I fitted loud pipes to her bike. :dunno

*ding ding*

we have a Winnah!!!!

Those look ACE with the black! Now the whole bike has that dark evil look to it. Thanks for the pic, mate. Looks like yer pushing me away from the Akkie hex caps, cuz that just made me *twitch*.

Oh, and when yer as manly and virile as grin, you can run whatever ******* colour wheels you like.

;)

No ****... If I had unlimited funds, giddyup. They look gorgeous, but gawd I'd hate to rash 'em at the track. 'Twas hard enough with the stock cans!

Just cleaned my cans with some wd40. Does a good job.
