changed oil... big difference

oh great,ive got hands like shovels,id best get me gran to give me a hand.:confused

on my 05 RSVR you can quite easily remove the spark plug without removing the airbox, you just need pull the lead off (ok so its not easy but its not impossible..)

Big Un, you can get a plug socket and extension bar in OK so not any real need for hands to get in there.

Wolf, I'll have a look at that method next time. Bearing in mind the air box lid is off to do the air filter what's another 7 screws though?

removing the bottom of the airbox is alot more than unscrewing the screws on my bike, there is various hoses and whatnot, plus its a juggling act to remove it without knocking the tank support out

plus you would have to put it back on at some point, so why do all that when its possible to squeeze your hands in and get the plugs out

however, i dont know where the extra two plugs are located on the older style milles, it could be that you have no choice but to remove the airbox on those :pirate
