Chain to long?

I mistakenly fitted a 108 link chain to my rsvr fac. ( 106 standard ).

There`s obviously too much slack , but i have a 42t rear sprocket coming in the post.

Will I be able to get the propper tension with a 16/42t combo with a 108 link chain?or will i have to get another soft link and cut the two extra links off?

16/40 is standard on your bike, another two teeth on the rear won't be enough to take up that, better removing a link, also if it is so far back in the adjustment it will steer like a harley

PS i have a shed full of 42's you could have had one, personally i would fit a 15 front with your 42 while you are at it

just been out and took two links off. I need a new soft link now.

Does it have to be a DID soft link ( to go with the DID chain ) or will any 525 soft link be okay?
