Went to a friends today after the Motogp, he bought a street fighter Friday, as soon as I saw it I wanted to take it out for a spin, today being Sunday I could'nt ring my insurance to transfer mine over so I threw caution to the wind and said **** it, (Ok some of you are going to flame me for that but its done now)

I get into the city and its grand and quiet, I spot three squad car as I'm heading for the other side of town back the direction where I live, as I'm exiting the city heading for the motorway(and my house) I come up to a roundabout, theres a car infront of me, I slow and down stay behind him untill I can head into the fast lane, as soon as im in the lane I peg it up on the back wheel and head on out the road reaching 125mph and undertaking 2 cars in the process, all the while the car that I was behind entering the roundabout was an unmarked copper and he seen it all and was on my tail(well not really but he was after me) and I'm totally oblivious to his presence,

I come up on my slip road off the motor way, I ease off and about 1/2 mile up the road I hear the sirens, then he pulls up along side me with no respect for either of our lives or anyone else coming in the other direction, I was waiting for a safe place to pull in and he tries to nudge me into the kurb, I start waving a fist at him and he tells me over the loud speaker to pull in, so I do then over the loud speaker I'm told to turn off the bike, then get off the bike, I tought that was really funny anyway he goes to the boot of his car and I started to get a little worried but he only brings out his cuffs, he runs over to me grabs my hand ready to cuff me and shouts "give me one good reason why I should'nt arrest you right now" I had to think and it felt like ten mins, I did'nt say anything but I guess by the limpness of my hand he knew I was'nt going to give him any hassel, so he gives me a good ear burning about the way I came out the road.. he then takes my name, address, rubs the dirt off the plate takes the reg# and jumps into the car, gets on the radio and I wait....

He comes back asks is it my bike, I say no its a friends I just picked it up now and I'm heading back home, he asks have I insurance I say no, he says thats right the bike has'nt been insured since '04 and taxed since '03, I tell him I was going to insure it first thing in the morning as soon as the office opens and that I had no other way of getting the bike, then I start to give out to him about how dangerous he was trying to push me into the kurb, he said he was'nt going to take any chances that I could be a runner(drugs)

He then goes on to say I'm impounding the bike, it will be 125euro for the tow truck and 25euro a night its kept in, then he says I'm going to be really fair with you since you've been honest and hav'nt given me any hassel I'll(cop) let you off for no insurance.. if I get it put into my name first thing tomorrow, get a fax from the insurance company and bring it in to me, I'll(cop) let you off the tax and the fact that the bike has no mirrors, a tiny plate and race tyres but I am goiing to do you for dangerous driving.. says if it was just the speed or the wheelie that would'nt be so bad but undertaking cars at speed is totally insane..

Now I've to wait for a date in court and theres a real possibility I could lose my licence at the least I'm going to get a bunch of points which is going to drive up my insurance and I'll get a heafty fine

Oh well, It could have been a lot worse... my only regret is not keeping it pinned when I got off the motorway he would have never got me

Hope ye can understand all that, I'm not used to writing long posts

What a saga, 1st yes i think you are a **** for riding like that, on top of the no insurance bit, I think you got off lucky I bet you were shitting yourself when he was looking to knock you off, have you learned anything :O

I reckon you will be very lucky to keep your licence

We all speed fella(not undertakin)these thing happen,hope you don't lose your licence...:thumbup

Well fella :confused:confused no insurance, now i aint sayin i aint never done it but why the fcuk draw attention to yaself :confused nice steady ride home in stealth mode and ya wouldnt be in this situation :eatcorn:eatcorn

Got to agree with Johnny on this one....and with no mirrors you had no chance to check behind before you started gunning it......125..wheelie.....undertaking and a copper behind you....seems he was being more than fair not hammering you for the wheelie and speed.....next time (if you keep your licence which is doubtful)make sure you got mirrors...and tax/insurance before twatting it.:whipping

PS over here we got helicopters to look out for as well...no mirrors for those

Ya I count myself very lucky to get off so lightly, the cop was more than fair considering that I wheelied past him, after passing the three squads in the city and them not even giving a second glance at me, I tought I was home free.. big mistake

He told me that he had radioed the next town and requested the cops and chopper to be called out, there is a response team there just for this situation, I would have been in bigger ***** if they got involved but he spotted me taking the slip road and called them off

I will be extremely lucky to keep my licence

unlucky fella but you did ask for it:deviouswe liv n learn just some times the hard way

tough luck fella.
in this day and age with how the cops are with us anyway,id be weary of doing that even tho im 100% legal, mot, insurance and tax!
i reckon your fookd, but good luck to you.

unlucky buddy i think ya got bitten by the over excitement bug, new bike open road born free ! just a pisser there was a copper to witness it all, i bet secretley he was well impressed :laugh

Unlucky mate but as said on a sensible note no insurance etc should of been in stealth mode, lesson learnt though good luck with the result mate

Feel for ya, I know what it feels like, knocks the wind outa ya, I got caught doing over a ton last June, unmarked Subaru up my arse, I was on 2 wheels though. Got 6 points, 250 fine, didnt alter my insurance though, my nephew was caught doing 153 mph, only got 6 points and fine, so ya might be lucky, it does slow ya down for a wee bit, it did me anyway.
GOOD LUCK, :thumbup

Man thats a story that would break the strongest of bike riding hearts mate!
As said, we have all busted out like that at one time or another...damn shame that copper was in the right place at the right time..bet he had near as much adrenalin on board as you did with a visual you put on for him. Can only hope ya keep ya ticket..the money is a pain but walking is a ******....been there..they took my ticket once for 4 months..copper even said it was the best wheelie he had seen in yrs...then the paddy wagon rolled in to take me too the lockup for 3hrs. Takes the fun right out of it in a split second. Feeling ya pain ol mate! Bugga! :(

bummer matey, you takes yer chances, unmarked are buggers, got me 3 weeks ago, still it wil only be 12 month ban surely?, you can still go on track
CK

If I lose my licence, my only real worry is how I'm going to get to work, I live out in the middle of nowhere and work is 25mins away by car, I'm not even entertaining the idea of cycling, as for riding the bike yea there is always track days and I do a lot of off road aswell so I'll still get my 2 wheeled kicks, just not as much

yes I know I should have thought about that before I started acting the **** but I'd like to see any of ye resist with that bike, it just bring out the hooligan in you :devious

better ask around yer village see if you can get a car share. Good luck for court, its well worth getting a solicitor. It may take a year to happen anyways
Ck

i agree with ck,well worth getting a lawyer mate.
i got caught doing 70 in a 30 in the car a long long time ago,was certain to lose the lisence, cost me £350 for the solicitor, got £300 fine and 6 points.
id recommend hiring one rather than just taking it on the chin or representing yourself.

As already said, you should of been in stealth mode. Remind me not to lend you my bike if your going to wheelie it and undertake. Think your in the **** mate. Offer to do one of these reabilitation courses they like that kind of thing.
