carbon tank pads

carbon bulk offer!!!!!!!!

Hi Guys!

My carbon buddy has told me if any you lot are wanting tank pads (mentioned Im on the forums now) he will do a bulk deal for any member. He says he has 12 sets of prepreg tank shields that he is getting lacquered up next week so they will be awsome. If the forum guys are interested he will let all 12 sets go for £20 a set each (normally 25-30 and even thats cheap compared to some of the real carbon pads out there out there and this comes with the chin guard also that you can use or sell aftwerwards) So if anyone is keen on bulk buys or joint buys then there is a £120 saving for the forum guys. If anyone is interested and wants to put there name down, give us a PM and il give you the details so you can speak direct. He says they wont be fully finished until next week but he can take names/addresses and ship straight after completion!

keep us posted folks

:)

Here is some pics of the tank pads etc fitted onto an old tank. Ive just bought a set and they seemed to be very nice. These boys have a strict quality control setup going on, and they are even offering what they call "B-grade" units for £10-15 a set which isnt bad at all i dont think. was planning trying to buy them from them for ebay! :)

Anyway, ive come up with a thought...

As these lads are pretty much game for anything, what are peoples thoughts on full carbon bodywork and tanks? I know they were looking into the possibility of composite wheels to compete with BST after they read into all the testing laws etc, but I thought if there was enough interest on here for composite tanks, then there might be a level of arm twisting for them. I know the guys that work there have done F1 work and even WSB stuff, but most of the work is outside the bike industry, and in aviation etc but they are all keen riders and one guys used to race there, so it wouldnt take a great deal to convince them to make the moulds and they are only a small company... if they see potential interest...who knows?

just an idea but let me know what you all think?

:)
The tank in picture is an early tank is it the same shape as the later one ?

hi Gravelrash, Not 100% sure to be honest. I think the MK2 tank is slightly different around the edges but the distance between the fuel cap and bottom of tank looks the same (where pad is) but i wouldnt like to say for sure. Think this fits upto 2003 for sure but not sure for 2004>

hope this helps?
