Hello,
I have an order placed for a ex demo Caponord with a dealer in Ireland. I know they are now discontinued as a new model in Europe due to EU emissions. Just wondering are Aprilia still manufacturing the Caponord for the REST OF The World market. Thanks

G'day rammstein7 from Australia..;).

I think the venerable old 1200 Capo TP stopped production in 2015 and the Rally version might have limped on until 2016 (some may have been assembled late in the year so they probably got 2017 plates.

The old 1200 donk just couldn't be made Euro4/5 compliant without big dollars and Aprilia seemed to have lost a lot of friends due to slow customer support.

A great pity as the bike had a lot going for it - I really liked mine a lot and had a reasonable run with it though the constant oil consumption (100cc per 1000km) was an annoyance.

There were some rumours in the bike press that there could be a new model of Caponord with a Euro5 compliant 900cc engine...... then silence...... so who knows what might happen..... too late for me, as I traded in on a KTM 1290 SDGT with Euro5 and 150 rwHp from standard. But I sure do miss the comfort of Capo12's clever suspension.

Cheers
