cant get seat off of 07 RSVR

Someone please tell me what I am doing wrong. I have an 07 RSVR.
When I try and remove the seat bolts, they just spin in place.
Frustrated !!!!!

are you sure you're using the correct size socket, its small about 8mm

they have been overtightened and the riv nuts are now spinning in the subframe. not uncommon.

You need to try and lock the riv nut to the subframe with a screwdriver or something so you can get them undone and then try and tighten them with a insert tool or drill them out and fit new ones.

I had this the day i bought mine new. had the rear sub frame replaced under warranty.:thumbup

Great news you got it sorted matey, yearh, once they spin .. its time to crimp em or put in new ones as Spoonz says. They can be a right pain in the *** otherwise.

i don't have the problem any more. fitted the quick release fittings from AF1

thanks everyone , my mechanic did something to make the bolts stay in place lol.
at home my ratchet was not very successful although the impact wrench made all the difference. cheers all
