Cant disarm alarm

Basically, I have had my Mille for 6 months now; the bike has had a new battery and when not in use it stays on an optimate. Recently the fob would not disengage the alarm, the led on the fob flashes but no beeps or squeeks from the bike. The next day the fob and alarm were working fine. I had no issues with the alarm for about 3 weeks until yesterday when the same happened again, I decided to leave the bike and try again today - still no joy

I know I have a Datatool fitted but am unsure of the model, I have 2 fobs for the alarm and have tried both so I dont think its the fobs. Is there something I may have done to cause this? Is there a button sequence on the fob I may have inadvertently pressed?

Ideally the alarm will be chopped out and have a wooden stake jammed into its siren, but I need to get the bike over to my dads so I can use his garage - dont fancy messing with the bikes electrics outside, not in this fine british climate

Any suggestions to at least get it moving?

Got to the bottom of the problem... the bike had a Datatool fitted

Chopped it our this afternoon, pretty simple and straight forward job. As a word of warning to anyone reading this in the future; if you remove the tilt switch (black "rattley" gizmo under the seat) to gain better access to the loom - MAKE SURE YOU PUT IT BACK IN THE RIGHT WAY AROUND!

I had to do the same with my Datatool alarm recently as I had the same symptoms as you..

Was a little apprehensive about removing the alarm but turned out to be surprisingly easy.

Funny thing I had major hassle with my meta alarm that failed on me after some issues with my starter solenoid.
I had kept the datatool sytem 3 alarm from a previous mille and retro fitted that with some educated guess work. If set up correctly they're not a bad alarm.
I like having an alarm/immobilser contary to most people. The peice of mind knowing that if some scroat trys to move it etc when i'm in a shop or staying away somewhere I'll get some warning is worth it.
The alarm only breaks the bikes circuit in two places and since I wired it in my self I know where they are so if worst comes to worst I can bridge them out to get me home.
