I used to beat my friend through the twisties on my 2000 R6 vs his 03 R1. I'll be returning from a 5 month business trip in 3 weeks. At home I have the mods in my signature and waiting in my house are: Dr. Rossi Eprom, Carbon Fiber Open Airbox, and Collector Dual Mod. He just picked up a 2005 GSXR 750 that's stock. My gearing is 16-44. Will I be able to hold him off in a straight line?

You should be ****** everywhere but i bet the old girl gives it a run for its money but if you beat him before on bikes nowhere near the same then you should muller him but the k5 750 is a handy bike, your m8 would of been better wi the k6 it was the first to have a slippery clutch....

When I beat him that was going through some extremely curvy roads not on the straights. He would pass me back up and then I would catch him again and pass after a few turns. I was hoping I could at least stay even with him on the straights but I'm sure I'll tear it up on the turns.

No not me , i was merely pointing out the pros and cons of each bike, riden in a safe and correct environment without the hint of naughtyness atoll ever honest lol

Haha, we have a few spots we go to that are pretty low traffic between track days ;)

hi bud dont worry about that gixer he wont lose you ,ive raced a 04 plate r1 with a very good rider onboard :jack and i could have passed him loads of times if i wanted to i was right up his *** all the way (muirkirk road ) not for the novice lol. if its a very twisty road you will win all day long mate hes gotta use his brakes more you dont :nana, stick by the rsv rules bud, which are :thumbup

"geeitahonfae anhingoanlikefuck":devious

"geeitahonfae anhingoanlikefuck" lol,Im gonna put that on a tee shirt,or make up a sticker ,,,

the 750 will eat you on the straights, no contest....honestly a decently built 06-09' RSVr probably could keep up decently, but not your 2000. If I remember correctly the gsxr750 is 145 bhp and about 40-50 lbs lighter than our thuggish mille's.
Just embarass him in the curves and you'll still have a great time.
