Have any of you lads that have 04 onwards RSVR with akro cans noticed that, when looking from behind the cans aren't even.:confused. looks like link pipes are not the correct shape to give perfect symmetry.:dunno. if it is normal, have any of you attempted to adjust them to get the alignment right. is it worth the agro, i only notice it when standing behind it during washing. but others see it from behind. sounds like a good excuse for being at the back. didn't want anyone looking at my rear.:thumbup

Hero, undo the carbon strap bolts, remove the springs and tweak the link pipes and cans until they are symetrical

Hero ,when we fitted akra's on newboots bike we had the same problem we messed about trying to move the link pipes and other bits but the problem was the carbon can hangers i think what you need to do is undo them take them off and swap them over the reason being is there is tapered washers on the end of the hangers and if there not on the right side it makes them look uneven thats what you need to play with hope that helps best of luck

Glad someone else has had the same problems.

Whatever I do to mine I seem unable to get them even :confused:confused

Given up as I never see the back side

You want to try what i said about in the link above Matt it should solve your problem

Sharky cheers for the nod will give it a go and see what happens. Can't get any worse v:thumbup

heroblob, are we talking different heights for the cans? or are they at the same height. From behind the sweep on the left hand link pipe and end can look different (wider) compared to the right because of the clearance needed for the chain on that side of the swing arm. If it's a difference in height thing then slacken everything off and it should all come into place with a bit of fiddling. Dont over tighten things as it's all to easy to crease titanium sleeves if you have them.

i think the hieghts are fairly similar, but the angle of the cans is different. the left(as you sit on the bike), appears to be lower at the link pipe end and this end sticks out further from the bike than the right. this causes the sweep angle both up from link pipe to outlet to be different on both sides, and the sweep in towards the numberplate to be different. this gives the effect that you see more of the left can from the back than you see of the right.
I hope that all makes sense. it becomes very difficult describing visual things. you have to be there really.:confused:confused
Any way thanks for the info i may well have a play as decribed above. i thought i had read a thread on here a while ago about heating link pipes or headers and tweeking them with a pole.:thumbup

Mate, know exactly wot ya mean :rant Tried all sorts but still can't get it perfect :dunno Just have to keep tryin :confused

Hi guys just to let you know you'll never get them pefect, I asked my main aprilia dealer just down the road from me, all the 04 05 06 cans are like it apparently, cause i've got the same problem with my arrow cans on mine i've tried adjusting it, you can get it close, but the vibration just makes it fall back into its normal place from where it sits comfortably.

fiddled with the can alignment today, following legs advice. spot on mate works a treat, almost perfect, certainly close enough for me. much happier bunny.:thumbup
