All booked up for this one. Time to visit the mountain  :doug

Anyone else booked in? :dunno

Any recommendations for decent B&B's appreciated, as we'll be heading up on the Sunday ready for the Monday :eatcorn

Depends how far you want to travel, google, Horncastle, Louth, Grimsby for B&B mate, I live quite close so remind me and i will call up and annoy you

Tempting tempting :devious

Think i've found somewhere a couple of miles from the track now, so all good. Be good to meet you Mr Ted if you pop over :thumbup

And its off to Cadwell we go. Anyone else get booked in on this one?

A big thanks to Mr Talbot for the Racetecs, you sir are a gentlemen and a scholar :thumbup

Wonder if it's ok to get off and push the bike over the mountain......... :dunno :laugh

Its raining over here pretty heavy, i hope your ok mr Cat, gonna see if i can fly over after work

It certainly rained Mr Superted! Started off ok'ish, a bit of drizzle and damp first thing, but got steadily worse as the day went on. Which is a huge shame because i've come away jealous to buggery of you lucky lucky people that live so close to Cadwell. The word amazing gets over used an awful lot, but the track itself is nothing short of amazing :inlove

We were somewhat spoilt by the glorious weather we rode up from Bournemouth in on Sunday, and sort of thought it may bode well, but alas, it wasn't to be a sunny day. How I laughed in the morning looking at the lovely racetecs with no tread to the outer edges whilst thinking of my lonely 2ct's back at home :doh :laugh

The good news of course is that we had a great day all in all regardless of the rain clouds and came away with fully intact bikes, which is a lot more than can be said for some unfortunately. The track was littered with oil warning flags most of the day from various engine casings losing the fight with the tarmac. There was a call put out over the tannoy after the second sessions had been run asking if anyone had a van heading back to Manchester with space for some poor soul who'd binned it in the conditions :(

When you got to the woodland section towards the end of the day you seriously felt it would be safer to get off and push it round until the straight :laugh simply allowing the clutch to bite in further on my Mille was enough to get the back stepping out of line. Some interesting moments over the mountain too

If anyone is heading to Cadwell for a track day or to watch some racing and is looking for a B&B I can thoroughly recommend Tim and Anne at The Green Man. Their pub is just a mile away from Cadwell, Tim is a Ducati and bike nut as are many of the locals that drink there and the food, room and drinks are great value for money, not forgetting the great hospitality you are shown. Highly recommended! Get yourselves booked in there :thumbup

Thanks for all the kind comments gents. I think I just happened to strike lucky with the mountain shots to be honest.

I know what you mean about the narrowness of Cadwell Rawly, and I must admit it reminded me a lot of riding down the country lanes we have around Dorset/Wilts. Which I guess is why I loved it. Reminds me a of rollercoaster for bikes :laugh

Something I did notice, is that Cadwell obviously demands respect by it's very nature. Tara was in novices and has had some issues previously with the variation in speeds between the Novices, but loved every minute of Cadwell as she felt more at home and not in fear of being taken out by someone buzzing her at such and such a speed. Where Rockingham is such an open wide track it seems to encourage people to go faster because of the room allowed for errors, whereas you can see at Cadwell that people are very conscious that if they up the pace and get it wrong, there is not a lot of extra track to run out onto.

Get out there if you've not been before Mr Superted. I met quite a few local riders who were there for their first time and came away wishing they'd not waited so long to go :thumbup
