broke down ***** aprilia hose clips

i went to the ace cafe shake down at south end today just pulled onto the seafront when coolant sprayed everywhere lucky i was there and not halfway there investigated the cause found a hose clip had broken (o.e.m aprilia) on the left hand side rad to engine pipe, my mate went to halfords and got me a hose clip and some anti freeze, while i stripped it down to get to the pipe, got it back together and bled out no problem, only prob now is its a proper hose clip which is man enuff for the job but rubs up on the frame.does any one know of any good slim fit hose clips which are man enuff ?????????????

check all yr hose clips and change them coz aprilia o.e.m hose clips are ***** i am gonna change all mine now:banghead

good plan to swap them out...they are a pile of crap

Same issue for me too, but spotted mine leaking on a quick walk-round. I've replaced mine with proper jubilee clips- just measured them up. Italian 'character'.

I've read this before, the hose clips are *****. Its a shame there are so many quirks with the bike, as they are so much fun

Quirks i can live with. I beat everyone off the line at all the traffic lights on the one two seven on the way home,had various bikes try it on at the lights but i wasnt gonna ave no one beating me and they didnt

Changed my standard hose clips with stainless steel ones, same size as standard form local auto shop. Only 30p each. I would recommend changing hose clips before they fail.
