Pads in mine are ***** (dont know what they are, but aint going to cut it on track) As the bike is road bike first, track second but in group 3, I need something suitable. Thinking brembo sc`s.
Anyone used these on track?

Mines and 02 haga, that has the 4pad calipers does it not??
Where do you source yours??

i can recomend EBC FA322/4 HH 30 EUR/package here http://www.ebay.de/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330346347868 you need 2
or Carbone loraine 1033XBK5 25 EUR/package in motonet
i currently run on the EBC pads for the 2nd time but they last like 8 trackdays + 1000km road and they are gone. anyway i like them (also in group 3 on trackdays)

Thanks Guys..

Rob, excillon, kiwi.. Tried the sbs track one before on the R1, and they were good on track (obviously), pants on the road (obviously) But when really going for it on track they seemed abit inconsistant..., definitely not as trustworthy as previous carbone lorraines...
Not really had a chance to use brembos in anger as yet, so thinking either those or carbone lorraines again?? :/

The Ruck. Got ebc`s in it at the moment, and they just aint doing it for me, just lack intial bite.
You`ve been practicing then my man! Nice one (unless iv got confused, group three is the fast group right??? coz thats what I ment lol)

lol here it is the slowest group
but i am on the improvement wave. last time i got -15s from the previous one. going on track next friday again. today new Braking rotors arive...

back to the pads. i heard the brembos have initial bite but i think there is not much difference between them. man has a tendence to get something better every time something new is to be bought but if you knew the difference of rotor wearing you maybe would not go for some of the pads which have the bite as you say and you would accept less feeling rather than more wearing. if you are used to the EBCs go for them again. but that is kinda philosophical so i better stop writing. :eek:ops

I ran EBC's on the SP and the R1 and they where okay on the road but a bit vague, then doing a trackday with the SP on the EBC's and had a monumental moment was told to go to SBS and never looked back (SBS Street Excel not the race variety), the harder you work them the better they get. Swapped to Bendix at the beginning of the year to see what they are like and they aint good, lack initial bite, feedback seems a little vague and when get hot seem too fierce and they need to be kept hot. Best pads I ever had were Performance Friction but that was in the R1 never tried them in the RSV (just cost a little too much for my wallet)

Oh and I'm a slow fast group rider or fast intermediate group rider and weigh 18stone so I work brake pads damn hard

street excel ? and which ones are the EBCs? i suppose HH. theoretically the street version should be worse under high temperatures. at least the vendors say so

SBS all the way, EBC are too vague and Brembo are way over priced, we are doing the SBS 4 pad per caliper sets for £53 inc delivery.

Mark

60 EUR = 48.413634 British pounds for the EBC FA322/4 HH complete front - 2 sets
126 EUR = 101.668631 British pounds for a set of brembo 07BB05SA complete front - 2 sets

or what overpriced brembos P/N are you talking about?

Those Brembos are twice the price of the SBS. I'd rather use that £50 somewhere else.

SBS 4 pad per caliper sets for £53 inc delivery. is it meant for complete set or set per disc?

I bought sbs pads from Mark. I was dubious because of how cheap they were but I can vouch for there stopping power and im not the smoothest of riders so they haven't had an easy life.

Hmm interesting..

Ruck - Still 15s improvement! thats not a little lol. Nice one, any of that advice been helping then?? Carrying more lean/ corner speed now??
To be fair Id think Id rather have more feeling on track than worry about the wear so much. I tend to trail my front brake right to kneedown and keep right on the edge of adhesion, so feeling is eveything!
Also when your coming into a bend at high 3 figure speeds, I like to have that reassuring intial bite.

Kiwi - Yeah man, I think its ebcs in there at the mo, and I`v had them before when times are tight, but they really arent up to getting the old rsv in the fast group for me.
The sbs pads I had on the R1 were the more track focused ones I think (they leave a film on the discs or something), but they werent up to the carbon lorraines I used to rock on the RVF, they were IMMENSE.

Mark - Were to carbone lorraines fit into that??
That is a good price if its for a full front set... Is it the street excel ones your talking about? may need to read up on them!

yes i got rid of some blocks so i got much quicker especially on the track i visit. it has a lot of quick corners so nothing for ****** pants and you have to trust and believe :)

cool man, well done! pm me if you fancy a chat about any new issues now you`ve up the pace that i may be able to help with ;)
You touching knees/toes now?
