Hi, I need new brake pads for a 2006 RSVR with Ohlins forks and Brembo brakes. At most I need fast road type pads, certainly nothing approaching race standard for my abilities. I don't have a lot of spare cash to say the least right now and need to get the bike through an MOT. Any bargains you know of would be very much appreciated. I need a full set i.e. both front and rear pads. Also, whilst we're at it, what reasonably priced oil and filter would people recommend?
Finally, I am sure most people know about this but just in case like me you have missed it. My front forks were leaking quite badly. I was going to get someone to change the seals (£ ouch!) but then by some incredibly lucky and inane research read about the Sealmate tool. Made one up from an empty coke bottle, dropped the dust seals, twisted the home made tool up and around each fork seal twice, pumped and cleaned the forks rigorously 5 or 6 times and now not a sign of a leak!!
