Ordered the side stand today, Fireblade CBR1000RR years from 2004 to 2007. Been looking on ebay and No luck, also sent loads of mail to Breakers very little responce if any at all from some. No joy non to be found.

So I have ordered a new one from davidsilver spares.co.uk. 3 days delivery and £51-76. This is just the arm no bits, ( i am hoping reading other threads that it is just a straight swop) Part number if your interested is 127024. I know its pricey but what cost of the bike falling over. Ride safe guys and gals, Ken.

you need to order the spring as well.

I`m sure someone on this site was doing there own stand for the bike.

I`ve got a fire blade stand on mine. It is a straight swap , but as i said you need the spring as well. It is alot more stable , but does stand more upright.

hope this helps.

Ok thanks for that I will order the spring , slightly concerned you say your bike stands more upright ? I thought the whole idea of the new stand was to increase the lean angle slightly and with the new stand having a rurther reach ( ie further out from the bike) giving it the stability it needs ? Have I got this wrong.:dunno

The foot of the stand sits further from the centre line of the bike, so it is alot more stable. The bike still has some lean just not as much as before. Some people cut the foot off take 10mm off the stand and re-weld the foot on, but it`s never bothered me.

Cheers for that buddy, Nice to have help on these things, I find this site really good and most people are so quick to respond, Ken:thumbup

Ive cut & rewelded about 6 firelade stands, the only bike that didnt need it was my Falco with jack up plates & mille shock set to max length

Thank you Darren for that. I will and have taken the decition to do exactly as you say try it first, its got to be better that the standard fitting, Ride safe mate Ken.

You can tell the correct stand cause it has a slight kink in it, some of the blade stands don't have this, not sure if they're any good.
The bike does sit a little more upright which can be awkward if theres a steep camber in the road, but haven't felt the need to shorten mine.
The only problem I had was the stand was hitting the bellypan when up, so griff welded a bit on the hinge for me.
