It was from Ollie on here a few years ago if not Amb67 was in contact with him at one point

thanks.
what blue plastic did you use - was it the 'frost cider bottle'!!, as I had a look on ebay and the thinnest I can find is 3mm which seems a bit thick. I have also looked at plastic document folders but these may be a bit thin.

Got myself some blue plastic. cut it out and replaced the orange. plugged back in to bike to test - now the displays are not showing figures correctly - *****!!

Eek o_O.

Maybe the plastic is pressing on the surface of the lcd?

thought that so took the plastic out - still the same. I was really careful not to touch the LCD so hoping its something else. Had a mooch around the net and read that if the terminal block is not pushed right in it could have the same effect.

When you push the screen back in the holder block it can get a bit squiffed up take undo the metal clips again and take out any blue sheet you have put in then real careful without forcing anything slide the screen back into place make sure all the clips are secure the test the clocks by plugging it in before you put it all back together!!

Had a look at everthing and made sure its all clean and screws tightened. These are what I get on the dash;

The right hand one is flashing as well.

In was wondering if it had anything to do with the rubber strip that connects the LCD to the PCB.

Doh - just been out and changed them - all ok - thanks

Couldn't work out how I got them mixed up, turns out my son has just admitted picking them up to have look.

Saying that I would have thought that the connections would dictate what the screens display, not the actual display itself.

Just waiting for the blue bulbs now.
