Ok I know this has been stickied with white led strips using blue tint film from the USA but I was not to keen on the lighting throw onto the dash screen.....................

So I have ordered a set of these....10x blue led twist dash bulbs off ebay (only a couple of quid to experiment with)

I am quite surprised no one seems to have tried this route or if they have, post it up yet.........or if if you have and it was a disaster please tell cos I am wondering if the dash screen is orange or sommat silly like that and the blue led bulbs will make it look brown!! :confused worth a try though for the minimal outlay............

Next thought I'd take a peek and see if there were any of the MOTOBATT MBTX12U's goin any cheaper and got this last one from busters at £44.99 posted

quite chuffed with that....so hopefully no more starting woes...:dunno
next on the list to cross out is that sidestand switch will attend to that this weekend methinks............any good suggestions on the best way to do it?????

I hope this bikes gonna be a blast..........with the amount of time , effort & cash splashed out I hope its gonna be worth it..................though judging by every1's feedback on here and my first initial couple o' test rides, I feel quite safe in the the knowledge my efforts are going on a worthwhile cause:biggrin

Cut the plug off the sidestand switch leaving enough wire to loop the outside ones together and join. Pull the center wire out. Throw the switch in the bin. Remember to lift your sidestand after putting it into gear :thumbup

If I can help it I never tend to wash/lather my motorcycles...kinda clean em with a damp cloth rather than loadsa suds'n'water tends to cause more probs because of exposed wiring........that way you get a more controlled clean without just slapping water down every electrical connection going :thumbup
Would rather do it this way and use a leather tell u the truth............

The state mine gets in i turn the hose on it and a bucket of water with caravan cleaner in it. I sometimes get the pressure washer out aswell. Its took the huff a few times afterwards, lol, Just gets pushed into the shed and left to dry out. It got soaked and covered in mud at Bulldog bash 2009 aswell but took it well and always started, luckily.

Bike rode brilliantly my only concern is that it does not turn in fast enough, but then I have only 3 rings showing on my forks so will pull them one more, oh and some heavier fork oil perhaps....................roads were just on the verge of drying out but not quite it was enough to give her some beans though :biggrin

Yeah my Mille Forks only have 3 Rings showing to, interested to hear what difference 4 makes.....

Did the blue bulbs work as I have been looking at the same thing.

Here you go bud you can see the results from this thread I started
http://rsvzone.com/forums/showthread.php?18393-Biit-more-modding-amp-tinkering-today&highlight=frosty+jacks
the bulbs only require the top tabs dremeled off and there quite a tight fit but they work fine...........by the way you can get these led's in a variety of colours all you need is the bottle plastic colour to match off the top of my head you should be able to do green, blue, red, purple?,yellow................

Thanks. Will have to take it apart to see what the thickness of the orange plastic is. I think they look better in blue and, especially for my eyes, should be clearer to see.

The orange filters are quite thick hence why you cannot see any bulb light through them but not sure where you would get this kind of material in different colours.....there must be something out there it is opaque rather than a clear material..........

Just make sure you get the filters cut exactly right or they won't fit properly as its quite tight and fiddly to get the filter back inside the edging rubber in the back therealso be extremely gentle of the lcd will never show its face again.
I have 8 blue led bulbs left if you want to do all the bits including the rev counter you will need 6 bulbs if you want them you send me a PM we can sort sort sommat out............

Did mine a long time ago and this was the result.
