Blipping on downshifts. What's that all about then?

My 848 duke is very similar. Needs a blip in any changes below 3rd really to keep it smooth and i've still had it skipping doing that.

Not ridden an 848 but tested an 1198 pretty hard and loved it! Awesome brakes. Never locked the wheel on downshifts, but then I always blip, its programmed in!
First time I rode a bike with a slipper clutch, its took all my mental will power you make myself pull the clutch in click down and release it without blipping. I swear it made my brain was hum! I cant get my head around that some ride large bike without blipping ?? Must slow down corner entry somewhat?

If it does work as well as you make out in your post then I must be leaning on mine something rotten.
