Okay, had a minor "incident" with my bike yesterday when getting it out the garage, and somehow broke the end off my front brake-lever !! :dunno

There`s no other damage, but the lever`s gone, so as I`ve already sourced an OEM one (which should be on its way next couple of days), I`m wondering about fitting.

Admission time: My mechanical acumen is quite **** really, but I can run to changing the lever, as long as I don`t have to start draining the system of fluid, and all that tackle.

Can anyone tell me if it`s just a simple old-brake-off; new-brake-on, or does the system have to be drained/flushed/bled, or whatever ?

Cheers.........:thumbup

No need to disturb the fluid - simply unbolt the old lever and replace with the new one. 5 minute job :thumbup

Fookin` brilliant !! :thumbup

Thanks for the quick reply, and the good news Rich, you`re a gent !! :thumbup

Dexter, if you possess the tools and can manage to open up the toolbox then this lever change will be a piece of cake mate. :thumbup

Just make sure you note the position of any washers on the pivot pin?

LOL, yeah, I can just about get in the box mate.......:devious

Sounds like I`ll be able to sort it bud, but I`ll note the relevant positions........cheers mate. :thumbup

dexter just go easy with the pin/pushrod thingy that goes in to the master cylinder , i took mine of to polish em and the dust seal on the master cylinder was a complete tw#t to get back over the pushrod again . just be patient and it will go . the seal is easy to rip so be gentle ...........

no fluid will come out as your not disturbing the sealed system ,the pushrod just pushes against a piston in the cylinder ..

Again, sounds VERY good advice; thanks for the warning bud, I appreciate it. :thumbup
