Having bought it a few weeks ago hardly ridden my new baby, got the akras fitted and the remap, rode home, following day or two snapped mi leg! Not ideal! So whilst I frustratingly can't ride I thought i'd add a few cosmetic bits and so on but have a couple of questions as follows,

can you readily get seat cowls for the 05 mille and if so where from?

having rad about front sprokets i think mine must be 17t so could i get a 16t dropped straight in?

Is a steering damper necessary? I've had no problems with it but heard its possible not sure it could slap with my weight going through the bars though ha ha!

cheers in advance kirky

ha ha no I wish, complete spiral snap of my fibula and all ankle ligaments!

Sorry to hear about your leg Ian. If your bike is a 2005 model it will have a 16 tooth front sprocket as standard. This makes the bike quite high geared and makes low speed riding a bit snatchy. Changing to a 15 tooth front sprocket is recommended and is a straight swap for for your current sprocket. Some memebers also change the rear sprocket to 41, 42 or 43 teeth (standard is 40). I would suggest changing just the front and see how you get on. :thumbup

ah ok, glad i checked n cheers for the help, do you have anyexperience with the difference it will make?

the 15t will lift the front wheel in the first 3 gears!!

and it will be easier around town.

just off the throttle? is that a lot different to standard cos mine dont do it much even with hard throttle i put it down to alot of human weight and perhaps a lack of balls!

Hi mate.

I have an 06 and she lifts up frequently in first with standard gearing, maybe I am just heavy with the throttle tough.

yeah it is pretty tall, is it a mechanic job or could a novice with alot of time have a crack?

ok so rsvr have got the 15t sprocket but it says for a 525 chain, is that what i've got? sorry if i'm being dense!

525 is standard size and if you look on a chain link it will probably be stamped on it :thumbup

15t front sprocket will definately make it more user friendly around town etc. £20 brand new. Well worth it.

I play rugby and we played catalans in france, 3 minutes in spun it round whilst being tackled, it nipped a bit yeah but the worst thing was you cant fly home in a pot so it was a bit uncomfy! moral is dont break stuff abroad!

Big girl I got a wiklo (little flap of skin ripping back from nail) on my index finger while washing the pots last night! Do you see me not riding my bike?

Suck it up!:biggrin

ha ha awesome you shame me! I promise to get back on it as soon as they swap the cast for one of them removable space boot things!
