Years ago my grandad would cook and eat anything luckily for me being a kid i could refuse almost anything...........

Pheasant and a stork, unlucky mate! Glad you're OK. Hit a pheasant with my left shin a couple of years ago, bloody hurt!! Remains splattered all over the bike, what a mess.

I was driving a fire engine out of Bridgwater yesterday, not on blues but still doing about 40mph, and a bird flew right into me, all i seen in the mirror was a puff of feathers. The funny thing was on the way back we looked out for it and there was this like black pancake on the road with a little yellow beak right in the middle! That road kill bloke would of loved it!
I guess you're better off receiving a bird strike in a fire engine than on a bike:biggrin

Many years ago I had an encounter with a pidgeon on my RD350 thought I'd dislocated my left shoulder but luckily when I managed to get back out of the hedge I'd travelled into I was ok just badly bruised............

back in the days of my 50cc ped i was coming home from work down a pitch black back road (ped had lights but were as good as candels in the wind). speeding along the lane flat out (almost tutching 43mph!!!) a badger walked out right infront of me, slamed on the brakes but couldent stop from the mighty speed..went strate over the top of it and draging it along the road as the rear wheel was locked...any way it lived (big f'ers them) and bent my forks the *******!!
